Chelsea midfielder Kante: I've improved under Sarri

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante says his game has improved under manager Maurizio Sarri.

Kante's adjusted role, to accommodate £57million Jorginho as Sarri's midfield axis having followed the Blues' new boss over from Napoli, has not been popular with the fans.

Sarri kept a respectful distance as his players took a lap of honour on Sunday, but Kante insisted he had become a better player following Jorginho's arrival.

He said: “We have played together all season and I think we understand the manager's idea. That is the most important thing.

"We are improving because we understand it better, game after game. This season has pushed me to add something to my game, to be able to play more in front, give the best final pass and take my chance to shoot. I think I have improved as a player, and I am happy for that.

“The fans are behind us – they want the same result as the players want, and they are just trying to show what they want from us. At the end, we all want a good season and to finish well, so we hope we can get what we want on Thursday and go to another final."
