N'Golo Kante is adamant Chelsea can get a positive result against Liverpool.

The two clubs will meet at Anfield on Thursday in a crucial clash for their top-four chances.

The Reds are trailing Thomas Tuchel's fifth-placed side by one point on the Premier League table.

Jurgen Klopp's side snapped a four-game losing streak by beating Sheffield United last weekend, but Kante feels confident his team can get a result against the defending champions.

"It is an important game for us, we are very close in the league," the Frenchman told Sky Sports.

"We go there for a win. We know that it is not going to be easy but we go with hope, and I'm sure that we can get a good result from Anfield."

On finishing in the top-four, Kante added: "Now it's our challenge to get this position.

"Man Utd, Leicester and West Ham are ahead of us, but we still have many games to play, and if we're doing well then we have the ability to get this position.

"We need to fight for it, to prepare to it, and to do everything we can to get in this top four."
