Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has declared he's happy playing for manager Thomas Tuchel.

Jorginho, who was the target of Chelsea fans' ire when they were struggling under former manager Maurizio Sarri, has flourished since coming into the first team as part of Tuchel's new system.

"I'm very happy because the team is doing very well, working hard, trying to understand what the coach wants," Jorginho told Chelsea's website.

Jorginho said he has fully bought into Tuchel's tactical plan, with Chelsea unbeaten in eight games since the German took the helm.

"I think it's the right way to move forward," he said.

"He understood the characteristics of the players and the way he wants to play is good for our characteristics.

"So he understood that and he's trying to give us the advice and the right way to work and then the results are coming."
