Chelsea midfielder Jorginho: Patience key to Malmo victory

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho admits that patience was the key to their win over Malmo in the Champions League.

The Blues had a great deal of possession, and many shots at goal, in the first half of the group stage clash on Tuesday.

However, they went into the break at 0-0, and narrowly got the win through a second half Hakim Ziyech goal.

"It's never easy to play in a stadium like this, with all these fans,' Jorginho said post-game, per the club website.

"The pitch didn't help as well, so it is never easy to come here and win and it is never easy to win games.

"It was well deserved I think, congratulations to the whole team, staff and players and everyone because everyone did a good job and we just need to keep pushing because it is what we are doing. We want to keep going like this."

He added about their tough opponents in Malmo:"To be honest, yes [expected a hard game].

"I can remember it was a tough game last time we played here, so to be honest with you I was expecting a hard, tough game again.

"A physical team with not a great pitch. So for me it was always going to be a game like this. We were prepared and then we deserved the win.

"In a game like this you need to be patient. Don't lose your mind. Keep working the same way, try to play your football. We had our chances. It is not every game you will score two, three or four goals. One nil is three points, the same.

"It was important to win here so we are happy for that."
