Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard believes Real Madrid ace Luka Modric will win the Ballon d'Or.

Hazard is also among the nominees, but says the Croatian will win the gong.

He said: "Luka Modric will win the Ballon d'Or.

"I do not think about it myself, because I will not win. Modric deserves it. There are three or four favourites, but Modric will win. That would be a crowning achievement for his fantastic season.

"If you tell me that I have been the best player in the world for the past three months, I agree wholeheartedly.

"No, I do not like to say that I am the best. There is Neymar, Mbappé and of course Messi and Ronaldo. Everything is perfect for me, both at Chelsea and at the Red Devils. I hope that will last."
