Ross Barkley has spoken about the toughest opponent he has faced in his career so far.

While he is only 24, Barkley has been around for many years, shining for both Everton and Chelsea in the Premier League.

Now he is entering the best years of his career, where he hopes to be decisive for club and country.

He was asked in an interview about the toughest player he's faced and he had an interesting response.

"Mousa Dembele," he said to football.london.

"He doesn't get the recognition he deserves. He's a top player.

"The way he protects the ball, passes the ball. He'd get more praise if he scored more goals."
