Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko admits he wasn't sure about AC Milan coach Rino Gattuso when he first arrived.

Gattuso was highly critical of Bakayoko in the early months of his loan.

The midfielder told Bros. Stories: "I did not like what he said. I do not want to repeat it but it was hard words, especially after only playing twenty minutes in my first game. I did not like it was hard right away and I told him.

"Now it's better. We know his character, Gattuso is a coach and a fighting man. He wanted to convey the spirit that I probably did not have. I have built the fighting spirit here. He is like a father figure. Our relationship is the maximum. We talk about everything. It's nice to have a relationship like this with the coach."
