Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is delighted with his return to AC Milan.
The Frenchman has joined the Rossonero on a two-season loan, having spent a season at San Siro a year ago.
Bakayoko said: "Yes, I have a wonderful relationship with the Milan fans, even if it was not easy in the beginning. But over the months I have gained more confidence: I have received a lot of love here, I hope to be able to return it.
"I spoke with the coach (Stefano Pioli) after I just arrived, in a calm way. We know that in football everyone has to earn their place and I told him that I am ready to work and I will give my best to help my teammates. The team has achieved excellent results, I want bring my experience gained in other clubs and internationally."
Bakayoko was also asked about director Paolo Maldini and replied: "It's true, we have an excellent relationship that has consolidated more and more. He helped me a lot in my beginnings, he was close to me when I had difficulties. He is a beautiful person, the facts speak and I learned a lot from him."
