Chelsea manager Lampard: I'm not rotating wingers for the sake of it

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard says that he is not rotating anyone in his squad for the sake of it.

The Blues boss has tried to use all the resources available to him in recent weeks.

He made several changes for the Carabao Cup fourth round loss to Manchester United at home.

But Lampard believes the changes he makes are necessary.

The Englishman said: "You could say Pedro and Willian as well [as Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi], who are top-class players in different stages of their careers.

"There's competition for places. That's good.

"It keeps them on edge and means they have to perform to keep their place... I'm not here to rotate for the sake of it."
