Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed they're signing Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.
Lampard has confirmed goalkeeper Mendy's transfer to Chelsea is done barring a medical.
The Blues boss announced on Tuesday: "Yes, Mendy is having a medical as we speak. Subject to that being okay then he will become our player."
Chelsea have been strongly linked with the Rennes shot-stopper all summer after question marks were raised over Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Kepa, who joined Chelsea in a world-record £71million transfer from Athletic Bilbao in 2018, was given a chance to prove himself to Lampard on Sunday.
The Chelsea boss named the 25-year-old between the sticks for the Blues' Premier League clash with Liverpool, but Kepa once again made a costly mistake.
