Chelsea, Man Utd & Man City challenging Bayern Munich for Upamecano

Bayern Munich will not have a free run at RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.

The 22-year-old centre-back is seen as a potentially world class defender by most teams and scouts.

Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently said they were interested in Upamecano, who has a release clause in his contract that will be activated this coming summer.

According to Goal.com, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea and other top European teams will want to sign Upamecano.

Any transfer will come down to the player's will, as he could have the option of nearly every top team in the continent vying for his signature.

Upamecano has impressed with Leipzig in the past season and a half, helping the club to the Champions League semi finals last term.

They progressed into the round of 16 from a tough group that contained Paris Saint-Germain and United this season.
