Inter Milan youngster Lorenzo Pirola is attracting major Premier League interest.

The Daily Express says Chelsea will take on Manchester City for the highly-rated Pirola. The Blues have developed a reputation for harvesting world class youngsters and are supposedly looking to bolster their defensive options for the future.

Pirola is considered one of the most exciting talents at Inter Milan and Antonio Conte has already identified the centre-back as a key first-team player going forward.

The Nerazzurri boss reportedly played a key role in recently finalising a contract that ties Pirola down at the San Siro until 2025.

Juventus previously made an approach for the promising defender as they looked to take advantage of any failure to reach a new agreement, but their interest has now cooled.

However, Pirola's new deal has not put Chelsea and Manchester City off from enquiring about the 18-year-old.
