Chelsea make sale call for Inter Milan loanee Lukaku

Chelsea will not consider a second loan with Inter Milan for Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian was loaned back out to the Italian side for this season after a disappoiting year at Chelsea.

Lukaku hopes to stay at the club for longer than just this campaign and there was supposedly talks between the two clubs about making the loan deal last longer.

However Chelsea have changed their mind and they now do not want to loan him out again, reports Calciomercato.com.

Chairman Todd Boehly has reportedly looked at the numbers and fears the club could lose money if they let the 29-year-old leave temporarily again.

Instead Chelsea want to sell him on a permanent basis in order to recoup some of the huge fee they paid for him.

It is unclear whether Inter Milan can afford to sign him in the summer as they reportedly planned to buy him in 2024.
