Chelsea to make move for QPR keeper Green

The Express reports that Premier League winners Chelsea are preparing a £2million offer for QPR Rangers goalkeeper Robert Green.

According to the report, the Blues have singled out Green, 35, as the man they want to bring in as the replacement of Petr Cech who is set to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The former England international has one year left on his £40,000-a-week contract at Loftus Road and would act as back-up to Thibaut Courtois.

Former West Ham United keeper Green could become available following QPR's relegation to the Championship.

Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Norwich City's John Ruddy provided the Canaries don't gain promotion to the top flight via the play-offs.
