Chelsea are attempting to prise Dutch teenager Kenji Gorre away from Manchester United.
The Daily Mail says Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen is making inroads into signing Kenji Gorre, the 15-year-old son of Southampton's assistant first-team coach Dean Gorre, from United this summer.
Gorre is recognised as one of the best young players coming through the academy and has recently been called into the England youth set-up as he has dual nationality with Holland under his father's citizenship.
Despite concerns over Arnesen's future role at Chelsea, the club's sporting director is still committed to recruiting the best young players in the world.
He has a long-standing friendship with Dean Gorre - they played for Ajax during separate spells - and has made a discreet inquiry about his talented son.
