Chelsea look to strengthen defence by proposing swap deal for Koulibaly

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has continued his pursuit of Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly by offering a swap deal, according to Own Goal Nigeria.

The proposed deal would send Chelsea's Kenneth Omeruo to the Serie A club in exchange for Koulibaly. It is believed Chelsea would pay a transfer fee on top of the swap, as well as further add-ons down the line.

Conte attempted to sign Koulibaly last summer, with TransferMarketWeb reporting that the Blues offered £36.2m for the 25 year old.

Omeruo is said to have impressed Napoli after their scout was encouraged by the performances Omeruo has put on for Turkish club Alanyaspor, where he is currently enjoying a loan spell.
