Swansea City have taken a slim advantage in their Championship play-off with Barnsley after 1-0 victory in Yorkshire on Monday night.
Andre Ayew produced a moment of magic for the Swans as he cut inside from the right and unleashed an unstoppable curling strike past home goalkeeper Bradley Collins.
Swans keeper Freddie Woodman was in fine touch to deny Barnsley an equaliser.
Substitute Carlton Morris almost pinched an injury-time goal for the Tykes, only for his header to hit the cross bar.
Speaking after the game, Swans boss Steve Cooper was full of praise for his defence and in particular Chelsea loanee Marc Guehi.
He told Sky Sports: "It was a good effort from the boys, we managed to show some bits of quality, the goal being the obvious one.
"It was great to have supporters back, I can't wait to get back to our place on Saturday now.
"It was fine margins, I was just really pleased with the resilience of the boys.
"Marc [Guehi] has been brilliant all season, I really believe in him, these boys are performing while growing as young men.
"We've got it all to do again, tonight was a real effort from everyone but we've been here before.
"The final whistle in the next game is the important one."
The second leg will be played at Swansea on Saturday.
