Chelsea loanee Danny Drinkwater spoke about his challenges on loan at Burnley.
Drinkwater was at the club for the first half of this season, but barely got any game time.
He struggled to impress boss Sean Dyche, and eventually came back to Chelsea before going to Aston Villa for the second half of the campaign.
"Difficult . . . I expected to do a few runs, train hard and play," he explained in an interview with Villa supporters on Instagram.
"The gaffer had a certain way and believed in his team.
"(There is) a great bunch of lads at that club who had a very good team spirit."
Regarding Villa's relegation battle, Drinkwater added: "I hope so [Aston Villa to stay in the Premier League]...it's a great club.
"Some changes needed and hopefully the club will be in the Prem for many years to come."
