Chelsea legend John Terry is emerging as favourite for the Aston Villa job.
The Mirror says Terry is the new favourite to land the Aston Villa job and secure his first management position.
The Chelsea legend was initially expected to return to Villa in a coaching role alongside Thierry Henry, but the ex-Arsenal striker is now set to accept an offer to take over at his old club Monaco.
That has opened the door for Terry to push for the to job himself.
He faces competition from Celtic's Brendan Rodgers and Jose Mourinho's old assistant Rui Faria. But the former England captain has the support of Villa's players after impressing last season as the club's skipper, when he made 36 appearances.
