A move to Sporting CP is now unlikely for Chelsea legend John Terry.

Pedro Madeira Rodrigues declared Terry was part of is presidential ticket this week, but pulled out of the race yesterday.

There is now talk of Rodrigues joining forces with another candidate, which could mean Terry is still involved.

After missing out on the signings of Yaya Toure and Claudio Marchisio, who joined Olympiakos and Zenit St Petersburg respectively, Terry was the next name on Rodrigues' list of potential targets.

Sporting's election will be held in four days.
