Chelsea legend Lampard out of Ipswich contention

Frank Lampard is now longer a contender for the job of Ipswich manager.

The Tractor Boys have been in search for a new manager since Mick McCarthy surprisingly quit last month.

Owner Marcus Evans has had two interviews with Chelsea hero Lampard but they failed to reach an agreement.

Now it appears the remaining candidates for the role are Jack Ross from St Mirren and Shrewsbury Town boss Paul Hurst.
