Chelsea legend Lampard linked with MK Dons…despite not having coaching badges

Frank Lampard is being heavily linked with the managerial job at MK Dons.

Multiple outlets are reporting that the Chelsea legend, who left MLS club New York City FC this week, could step into the role recently vacated by Karl Robinson.

The speculation may be a little premature, however, as Lampard is yet to complete his coaching badges.

Nevertheless, bookmakers have made the 38-year-old ex-Manchester City man favourite, along with Steve Cotterill, to take the job at Stadium MK.

Ladbrokes News' Richard Marsh said, according to the Daily Mirror: "Plenty of names have been linked with the League One outfit, but just as he used to emerge undetected in opposition territory, Lampard has quietly appeared and beaten them all in the betting."

There are also rumours suggesting former England international Lampard is the subject of offers from MLS clubs Orlando City and LA Galaxy.
