Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has dismissed talk of a move to Aston Villa.

Drogba is currently playing in MLS for Montreal Impact.

Drogba worked under current Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo at Chelsea, winning the Champions League and FA Cup in 2012.

But he took to social media himself to deny the rumours, insisting he was still very much in Canada with his MLS side Montreal Impact.

He tweeted: "Just come out of training at @impactmontreal & a million messages & trending on Twitter saying I was in Birmingham today."

Villa owner Tony Xia later laughed off the rumours himself, tweeting: "Come on. It's not the China Villa club (maybe future will.)."
