Chelsea legend Marcel Desailly is impressed by young defender Kurt Zouma.

Zouma drew comparisons with Desailly after shining in midfield for Chelsea's Capital One Cup final victory over Tottenham.

"I did not have this experience - and at this level - at his age. Potential is there, no doubt. He must continue to work on himself and seize the opportunity," Desailly said.

"I'm very satisfied. It is a pleasure to see him in the team.

"I hope that he stays calm and is working hard on himself, his technique and his game, then he can be much better than me.

"Because at his age I was not ready."
