Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech offered immediate support to Tottenham's Carlo Cudicini after his motorcycle accident.

Cudicini was there when Cech fractured his skull in a sickening collision with midfielder Stephen Hunt in a match at Reading in October, 2006.

And Cech, 27, was there visiting his buddy in hospital on the day of the accident to comfort and encourage him.

The former Blues keeper told The Sun: "I remember what happened to Petr and how he fought back to play and this is my inspiration. The day of the accident he was due to come to my house.

"We were going to spend the afternoon and the evening together. Instead, he came to the hospital.

"It brought back memories. I remember going to visit him in hospital after his accident and I learned a lot from the way he came back from his injury."
