Chelsea, Juventus target Witsel set for £300k-a-week China deal

Axel Witsel is closing in on a lucrative move to the Chinese Super League.

Belgian outlet RTBF is reporting that the Zenit St Petersburg midfielder will snub potential moves to Chelsea and Juventus by signing with Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian.

It is understood that Witsel, 27, will earn around £300,000 per week in the Far East which has prompted him to turn his head on the possibility of moving to the Premier League or Serie A.

Some reports suggest that Witsel could be on the way to Shanghai SIPG to reunite with former Zenit boss Andre Villas-Boas, but it is believed that he will join Tianjin who are managed by Italian legend Fabio Cannavaro.
