Andrea Pirlo has announced he is leaving AC Milan. The veteran midfielder is coming off contract next month.

"I am here to say goodbye," he told Sky Sport Italia outside the Milan headquarters in Via Turati yesterday.

"These were 10 unforgettable years and it's a consensual separation. Do I hope Milan will regret losing me? Yes."

Pirlo has been linked with Chelsea, while his camp are in discussions with Juventus. Manchester City have also been mentioned, where Pirlo would arrive as a replacement for veteran Patrick Vieira.
