Chelsea are getting serious about signing Everton striker Richarlison.

Tottenham had looked the Premier League side most likely to land the Brazilian with their rivals Arsenal also keen.

However, The Independent's Miguel Delaney understands that any interest from the North London pair is 'currently expected to be trumped by Chelsea'.

The 25-year-old forward scored ten goals in 29 appearances last season to help the Toffees beat the drop.

Everton could cash in on Richarlison in order to ease financial fair play laws and assist manager Frank Lampard in the summer market.
