Chelsea hero Nevin insists Gilmour 'hasn't lost it' despite Norwich struggles

Chelsea hero Pat Nevin insists Billy Gilmour has lost nothing during a difficult spell on-loan with Norwich City.

Nevin was discussing Scotland's World Cup qualifying win against Denmark.

He told chelseafc.com: "It was another chance for Chelsea legend Stevie Clarke to consider some of the minuscule changes he tends to make to the Scottish tactics.

"These micro-adaptations have made all the difference as he managed to squeeze every little bit of effort and ability out of his squad lately. He has settled on a 3-4-2-1 except when he gets all giddy sometimes and goes for a 3-4-1-2. Six wins in a row and I am willing to accept he knows what he is doing, especially as he has made Billy Gilmour central to everything the team does.

"Norwich may not have been giving Billy many minutes over the past couple of months but at international level he has been controlling games with his usual panache, so there is nothing to worry about there. He hasn't 'lost it', not that any Blues fans thought he had."
