Chelsea hero Leboeuf insists Pulisic no automatic starter

Chelsea hero Frank Leboeuf insists Christian Pulisic is no automatic starter when he returns to full fitness.

Lebouef has warned Pulisic he isn't guaranteed to be a starter under Frank Lampard following his latest injury setback.

The 1998 World Cup winner told ESPN: “It can be a problem because you have to fight for you position in the first XI. He had a fantastic end of the season and it's sad to see him not starting the new season.

“But Werner came, Werner is doing great and now he's playing on the left-side.

“We know that Mount is kind of the 'special player' of Frank Lampard, Abraham has come back and scored goals so it can be difficult for Pulisic to find room in the first XI.

“But the season is long and we just talked about injuries coming to other injuries.

“We see Ziyech just coming back, he will have the time to play games, he just has to be sure that he is well prepared and he will have games maybe 25 or 30 games for sure."
