Chelsea hero Glenn Hoddle believes the Europa League is their best chance of Champions League qualification.

Chelsea currently occupy third position and won the first-leg of their quarterfinal 1-0 at Slavia Prague, Hoddle believes winning the Europa League is their best chance.

He said: "I don't think this Chelsea team were there mentally all evening and they've got away with it. They didn't have that leadership tonight. I thought they were really poor.

"But I think this is the easiest route for Chelsea to get into the Champions League. They have got some tough games in the Premier League so if I'm this manager, I'm playing my strongest team in this competition. I think they could do it that way, I really do."
