Chelsea hero Cole raps Ziyech and Pulisic for Man City defeat

Chelsea hero Joe Cole says Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic weren't good enough for Saturday's defeat at Manchester City.

The previous week City won 2-1 at Arsenal.

They had to rely on a stoppage-time winner from Rodri to take all three points from the Emirates.

Cole says that is because Ziyech and Pulisic were not as influential as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli were two weeks ago.

"I think the difference between the Arsenal performance and Chelsea performance was the performances of Martinelli, Saka in the Arsenal game," Cole said on BT Sport.

"Them transitions being able to get the ball, drive, one-two, being able to do something.

"Today, Pulisic and Ziyech weren't at their very best and I think when you talk about the structure of the team, that's where Chelsea was a bit lacking.

"When they got the ball in midfield and then it went to Pulisic and Ziyech and they didn't find the right pass."
