Chelsea have bid rejected for Bayer Leverkusen star Bailey

Reports coming out of Germany suggest that Chelsea have been pushed back in their attempts to sign Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen.

The German club are not happy with Chelsea's valuation of the exciting young player, and it appears Chelsea's 22million pound bid is not nearly enough to prize the player away from Leverkusen.

The Jamaican winger is a top talent in the game, and many clubs are interested in securing his services.

Bailey has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Juventus in the past, while Liverpool and Barcelona may also have some interest.

Chelsea's approach shows the club want to get the deal done, but it is unclear whether their next offer would be good enough. It may take until the summer before such a deal can be struck, with Leverkusen loathe to lose such a good player midway through the season.
