Chelsea has to respect Drogba has contract with Montreal Impact – Hiddink

Chelsea caretaker manager Guus Hiddink has stated that Didier Drogba may have to honour his playing contract with Montreal Impact.

Speculation suggests Drogba could end his contract with the MLS club to make a return to Chelsea in a coaching capacity this month and the fans are certainly excited at the potential return of the club legend.

However, Hiddink does not believe that facilitating the return of Drogba will be straightforward and has stated that the Blues must first respect his current contract with the Impact.

Hiddink said: "Drogba is under contract with Montreal Impact - we have to respect that.

"It is up to the clubs. We have to respect this contract."

Drogba joined the Canadian outfit in July last year after helping Chelsea clinch the 2014/15 Premier League title in his second stint at Stamford Bridge.
