Chelsea great Drogba hails Marseille sensation Dieng after Diouf praise

Chelsea great Didier Drogba admits he's been impressed by Olympique Marseille sensation Bamba Dieng.

The Senegalese striker has scored three goals in his first eight games in France, having arrived from Diambars FC just this summer.

Senegal great El Hadji Diouf said of Dieng: "He's a striker, a Didier Drogba. All he can do is score goals. He is a young person with a future. All I have to say is keep his head on his shoulders, keep working. He is an attacker who ends up in the box."

In response, Drogba told So Foot: "It's a bit early, maybe. But it was perhaps a little early too when I was compared to Jean-Pierre Papin at the time. Someday you have to start, and if he's starting at that age today, why not?

"In any case, I wish him the best. It goes fast, very fast. When I see his performances, I tell myself that he has pep, he is skilful in front of the goal. He is in a team with a good dynamic, so why not? That's all I wish him."
