Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero has lept to the defence of Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Caballero, having just signed a new 12 month deal, insists Kepa has the ability to be the club's long-term No1.
"He won the position in the national team and last year had a very good season," he told Mundo Deportivo. "It seems to me that this year did not go as well, as it has for the rest of the defence, and that is why he is criticised.
“Being the most expensive goalkeeper in recent years, he is attacked much more.
"I know that the comments hurt him, but he is going to have to live with that because it is difficult to be in Chelsea's goal and have to do a good job every week."
