Chelsea are getting serious about Brentford attacker Said Benrahma.

The Guardian says Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is a fan of the Algeria international and convinced he can thrive at Premier League level.

As such, an initial approach has been made to Benrahma's agents to register Chelsea's interest.

This season in the Championship, Benrahma has scored ten goals and produced ten assists.

The attacker has a contract with the Bees to 2022.
