Chelsea are getting serious about signing Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico.

The Blues are in the market for a left-back, with Frank Lampard not content with either Emerson or Marcos Alonso.

Ben Chilwell from Leicester City and Porto's Alex Telles are targets, but both would be far more expensive than Tagliafico.

The Telegraph says Lampard and his recruiting staff are eyeing a £22.4m deal for the Argentina international.

Tagliafico would link up with former Ajax teammate Hakim Ziyech, who will head to Stamford Bridge in a £37.4m deal in July.
