Chelsea are ready to get serious about a move for PSG midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

Chelsea scouts have been watching Gueye and Julian Draxler at PSG this season, with the latter emerging as a top January target.

It was suggested Chelsea were willing to wait until next summer to bid for Gueye, however Le 10 Sport says their plans could be brought forward for next month.

Gueye only moved to PSG last summer from Everton and has proved a big hit in Paris, starring in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

However, Chelsea chiefs are keen to bring him back to England, with manager Frank Lampard convinced his squad lacks a midfielder of his type.
