Chelsea fullback Maatsen scores for Burnley in victory over QPR

Chelsea left-back Ian Maatsen found the net for Burnley for the second time this season as they restored their three-point advantage at the top of the Championship table with a comprehensive 3-0 victory away at Queens Park Rangers.

The Clarets picked up where they had left off before the World Cup break to continue their impressive form with an eighth win from their last 10 games.

Burnley dominated throughout in a confident performance and Maatsen found the net to score their second in first-half injury time.

The Dutch defender reacted quickest in the box when the full-back on the opposite flank, Vitinha, had his shot saved by goalkeeper Seny Dieng, producing a composed finish for his first goal since netting the winner on his debut against Huddersfield Town on the opening day of the season.
