Chelsea eyeing Sheffield Utd goalkeeper Dean Henderson

Chelsea are eyeing Sheffield United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

The Mirror says Henderson has been widely praised for his performances while on loan at Sheffield United this season and the Manchester United goalkeeper has youth on his side - as he is only turning 23 this week.

However, the Red Devils academy product is unsure whether he will return to Old Trafford at the end of his loan spell as he does not know if he is part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plans.

The Manchester United boss has resolutely defended his no. 1 goalkeeper, David de Gea, despite the Spaniard making a number of uncharacteristic errors this season.

As such, Henderson - valued at £25million - could be surplus to requirements at United as he runs into the final two years of his contract, allowing Chelsea to move for him.
