Chelsea due windfall if Arsenal sign Brighton fullback Lamptey

Chelsea will be due a windfall if Brighton sell Tariq Lamptey this summer.

Lamptey, 20, joined the Seagulls from Stamford Bridge in January 2020 for the bargain price of just £3million.

But after a stellar 12 months for Graham Potter's side, the right-back has already been linked with a move away from the Amex Stadium.

And if he does leave Brighton in the summer, Chelsea will receive a percentage of Brighton's fee due to a clause in his contract, says The Sun.

When Lamptey joined the south coast outfit, Brighton agreed an undisclosed sell-on clause with Chelsea.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are the front-runners to sign the England youngster.
