Chelsea are ready to finalise terms over a new deal with Frank Arnesen.

The Guardian says Chelsea will continue talks with their chief scout and director of youth development, Arnesen, over a new deal on his return from the European Under-21 Championship next week.

The Dane was recently confirmed on the club's football board, along with the performance director, Mike Forde, though his deal technically expires on 1 September. He is expected to sign a rolling one-year contract to remain at Stamford Bridge.
