Chelsea are determined to win the race for Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Sunderland have all been linked with the England U21 international.

The Times says Johnson, 22, is likely to sign in January for Chelsea, but could be loaned back to Middlesbrough for the rest of the season.

Only on the weekend, it was reported Boro would not consider selling Johnson as they try to come back up at the first attempt.
