Chelsea defender John Terry is prepared to drop down to Championship to win more silverware next season.

The 36-year-old, who is set to become a free agent in the coming days, is a target for the likes Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Bournemouth, West Brom and Swansea.

However, The Mirror claims that Terry is hesitant to join another Premier League side and prefers a move to Championship.

Villa are reportedly leading the chase to sign the former England international, while Birmingham City also remain in contention.
