Chelsea defender Toni Rudiger is enjoying their three-man defence.
The security of having two additional centre-backs alongside him means Rudiger can step forward into midfield and initiate attacks with driving runs when the moment is right.
"I like the position," he told the club's website.
"It's no problem for me but I also like playing in a back four on the left side. That's where I've been playing for my whole career mostly and you get used to it.
"It comes naturally for me to step forward with the ball, just however and whenever I feel. With the back three, one of the centre-backs can always progress the game and this is what our coach demands."
