Chelsea defender Rudiger admits: We're missing Terry

Chelsea defender Toni Rudiger admits they've missed the influence on John Terry this season.

The Blues legend left two summers ago for Aston Villa.

And Rudiger says: "Of course people like to say that because we had leaders before, which is fair enough, but we were not talking about leaders on our unbeaten run, so for me it's all based on results because if you have the results we are not speaking about leaders.

"It's also hard to replace people like John Terry, who was captain here and a leader, but at the end of the day we have to try to follow in the footsteps of these players."

Chelsea meet Malmo on Thursday night holding 2-1 Europa League round 32 aggregate lead from the first-leg.

Rudiger added: "What we can do is get back to getting results, then we will always have them behind us, even though they are always behind us anyway because they are still coming to the stadium. It's based on our performances and the results we get."
