Abdul Baba Rahman has joined the Schalke squad for their pre-season training camp in Austria.
The German club have confirmed that the Chelsea defender has travelled to Mittersill to commence training ahead of the 2016/17 Bundesliga season.
Recent reports suggested that Rahman underwent a medical with Schalke on Sunday ahead of a season-long loan with the Gelenkirchen outfit following a disappointing debut season at Stamford Bridge.
Ghana international Rahman, 22, joined the Blues from Augsburg last summer but will return to Germany for the next 12 months after being deemed surplus to requirements by Antonio Conte.
A post on Schalke's official Twitter account on Monday read: "Abdul Rahman Baba is travelling with the Schalke squad to the training camp."
