Chelsea's Baba Rahman has undergone a medical with Schalke ahead of a loan move to Germany.
The Ghanaian left-back joined the Blues from Augsburg last summer but struggled for regular game time under Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink and has now been deemed surplus to requirements by Antonio Conte.
Reports indicate that Rahman had the testing with Schalke on Sunday and will now complete a season-long loan move to the Gelsenkirchen club.
Rahman, 22, had been signed to provide cover for Cesar Azpilicueta but Conte has opted to send him away in a bid to continue his development in a move continuous first-team environment.
It is understood that the deal will be finalised on Monday.
