Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma wants to leave for Everton.

The Mirror says the 24-year-old would prefer to return to Everton where he knows he will be first choice.

He is determined to earn a place in France's squad for Euro 2020 next summer.

And he is not confident of playing often enough while competing with David Luiz, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger for a place.

Blues boss Frank Lampard said yesterday: “I want him here, simple as that.

“We are competitive with the centre backs we have in the team and he had a very good season at Everton and I can understand why they want him.

"He's a Chelsea player and I want him."
